THE LAST PLENARY OF THE 24th HOUSE ADMINISTRATION, SRC, SUG, NAU.








Thursday 18th of January, 2018 will go down in the history books of Students Unionism in this great citadel of learning. The 24th House Administration of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), Students Union Government (SUG), Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, had its last sitting.

The plenary had in attendance, the speaker of the 24th house Administration, the chief clerk, the deputy chief clerk, the majority and minority leaders, the chairman and secretary of the ethics and privileges committee, the chief whip, other members of the 24th house administration, members of the 25th House who were yet to elect their principal officers, as well as other students who came to witness the session.

The plenary started by 4:30pm, at the usual venue (law faculty moot court), with the formal entry of the Speaker, opening prayers, and the order of the day which followed suit.

The session provided an avenue for the members of the 25th house administration to ask questions, and understand what legislature in student unionism was all about.

Three bills were read for the first time;


 1. BILL ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FINANCIAL CRIMES PREVENTIONBOARD (FCPB).

The incoming legislators were tutored about the nitty-gritty of the legislative arm by the outgoing legislators.

Like the saying goes, "
You are not yet successful, until you have a Successor".

In the end, members of the 25th House Administration, left better than they came.
