IMMORTALITY: THE REWARD OF LEAVING LEGACY BEHIND!- Chisom Okoye

"If you do not want to be forgotten moments after you die, either write something worth reading or do something worth writing about" -Benjamin Franklin

I am talking about the immortals -the few great men and women who devoted a large part of their entire lives to the benefit of oppressed humanity and to the eternal glory of God.
They pioneered the search for a New World. Most of their lives were devoted to fighting oppressive government, diseases, poverty, fear and ignorance.
Thomas Carlyle said, "History is made by great men. The rest are passengers". This is a benefitting tribute to the great men of history.

You are created to fulfill a purpose. Calvin Coolidge once said "Nobody was ever honoured for what he received. Honour has always been the reward for what he gave". You are created to fulfill a purpose. If your work was done very well, you will find your name in the world's list of honour.
Where you failed in your duty, the world carries on as if you never passed by.

The good thing is that you don't have to live for so long to make an impact. What matters is that you follow the same steps that the world's greatest men took.
J. Paul Meyer wrote, "When all is said and done, each one of us will leave only four e:
1. Memories- thought of others of/about us.
2. Souvenirs- the proof of our existence.
3. Trophies- records of our achievements. And
4. Legacies- everything you are and possess today.

Eventually, memories will fade and souvenirs and trophies will be lost, stolen or sold at garage sales; only your legacy will remain. Have you discovered your unique talent? Can you use it to better the world? History is very mean. It takes note of the works of selfless servants and leaves out the efforts of other men as if they never existed. Each day is given to you to make history. Always work to appear on as one of those who made positive impacts on the pages of history.
