Arsenal Staying True in Their Name 'Arsenal'

Petr Cech enjoyed the satisfaction of a
Wembley victory over his former club as Arsenal
saw off Chelsea 1-0 on Sunday to land the
2015-16 Community Shield.
The win completes a preseason treble for the
Gunners, who also lifted the Asia Trophy and
the Emirates Cup. It seems that winning is a
habit after all.
It was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who scored the
crucial goal, collecting a pass from Theo
Walcott before cutting inside to fire a shot into
the top corner with his weaker left foot.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored just one goal in 23 Premier
League appearances last season, and he'll hope
this strike will prove indicative of an
improvement in that area.
Despite the glamorous setting, this is still a
friendly, and only seven of the past 23 winners
of this fixture have gone on to win the league.
Nevertheless, having gotten the Jose Mourinho
curse lifted by finally defeating the Portuguese
manager, Arsene Wenger will definitely view this
result as a positive omen for the forthcoming
