SFDW is set to hold at the prestigious University of Lagos from the 15th
to 18th, July, 2015. With exhibitions on the 15th and 16th at New hall and
the fashion shows on the 17th and 18th at Indoor sports hall.
In this writeup, we unveil some of the designers showcasing at the 3rd edition:
Tare Daniels is an undergraduate student of Igbenedion University and the creative director of Brandelle.
She is one fast rising emerging Designer to look out for at the fashion week. Her collection “Edifice” is a work of literature interpreted in fashion. Literature dated back to the emergence of the Nigerian literature.
“I believed the fashion industry is fast rising and its one industry that is independent yet impacts other industries with its natural aesthetics.
Though its not quite there yet as there are many areas that needs improvement but still the fashion industry I think is yet to experience its best moment of which I look forward to. I’m optimistic” Tare Daniels.
O’KHIEMMS COUTURE and KIDWIT have decided to come together as a team at this year’s edition of NSFDW.
Olayinka studied at the University of Sheffield while Oluwakemi studied at
the Lagos State School of Nursing. Their collection is called “Sisi eko.”
Sis Oge is inspired by the lagos City Girl. It is a reflection of the way the very stylish lagos fashionista likes to interpret whatever she is wearing; whether she’s going modern, African or merging both. Always expect daring moves, bold splashes, edgy cuts and loads of timeless staples as you would soon discover.
Their reason for showcasing at the Winasbet NSFDW is to show Nigeria and the world what their brand; O’KHIEMMS COUTURE AND KIDWIT can offer. They hope the collection will help promote their brand and attract sponsors and investors.
A short story she wrote a while ago about the easy-breezy blossoming summer experience of a wealthy, sophisticated, elegant and highly alluring young woman is what is behind the paradigm of her beautiful collection called “CORINNE FEMALE” a french name meaning “Maiden”
Ijidolapo studies at the Obafemi Awolowo University. The concept of her elegant and suffused glimmer is interpreted in each look with various shades that span from her brand.
The Creative Director of “THERESA REEBS” expect that after the show, she would have been able to network with a whole lot of other fashion insiders, build a stronger and wider customer base and have the name resounding out there.
“With that level of publicity, successes and high standards that the show has achieved over the years, I believe it is a sound platform to display my absolutely creative and beautifully created pieces for all to see. I tag it ‘Taking THERESA REEBS to the next level” said Ijidolapo.
