NOT AGAIN! NIGERIA AT RISK OF EBOLA

EBOLA AGAIN!!!???

The name Patrick Sawyer will continue to ring a bell in the minds of many  many Nigerians for a long time to come, for  the very unpopular reason of importing Ebola into Nigeria.

Just as Nigerians,Liberians and indeed the whole world  heaved a sigh of relief, when the WHO pronounced Liberia, Ebola Free, the world body has since rescinded that pronouncement with a new case of Ebola in Liberia.

A new case of Ebola has been reported in Liberia. This is according to the Liberian Deputy Health Minister Tolbert. Recently a 19 year old  boy died of the disease and it is possible his close friends and relative must have contacted the deadly disease....

This calls for attention, from all citizens to be very careful about their health and hygiene and more proactive measures should be taken on the part of the Nigerian Government by ensuring that safety standards at all Points of Entry are adhered to by  qualified health personnels.

The Government should be aware that 'Prevention is not only better than cure, but also cheaper' especially in this season of economic austerity.

Don't be relaxed when it comes to hygiene, just incase another Patrick Sawyer has entered the country without being noticed.

No need to panic, just be conscious of your health and endeavour to maintain good health practices.
