POETRY: The Creator

The creator beholds the dark and
The dark calls out to him
And its all he can do not to respond
An entity: built up into a trinity
To preserve eternity
“Bow before me” the darkness whispers
“I am all there is to see anyways;
Bow” It purrs

The creator beholds the dark and
The dark calls out to him
Its all he can do not to respond
A myriad of emotions run through him
As he ponders what to do in the absence of light
He seeks to work, to build; to create a piece of art
To draw on the canvas in the plains with his heart
But all that stands before him is alas
Not enough to provide the light for his art

The creator beholds the dark and
The dark calls out to  him
He is angered by its insistence
And the three quake within the one
The creator calls in upon the third
“There is power in the word” the third whispers
“For even ages from now, it shall be said
That before the dark, there was the word”
So the creator calls out to the word
“Be mine” he says “and you will be honoured
“even so more than my name”
“Bow before me” the darkness purrs
“And you shall have everything; even the word”

The creator beholds the dark and
The dark calls out to him
The creator calls out to the word, and
The dark trembles in fear
For in the voice of one, is the sound of three
And the dark deepens; terror giving way to rage

The creator possesses the word;
The creator becomes the word
And the third whispers into the mist
That “the word was God”
“Bow before me” the dark squeaks
“The darkness comprehends it not” the third whispers

And the creator arose, and his voice boomed in the dark
For in the voice of one, is the sound of three
And the third whispered;
“In him was life, and the life was the light of men”
And the second replied;
“To those who believed, he gave power to become sons”
And the first commanded
“Let there be light”
And there was light
And the darkness fled
Because it could not comprehend the light
And the creator painted on the canvas in the plains
With the words in his heart.
