Move to permanent sites – NUC Secretary tells Private Universities

The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Julius A. Okojie (OON), has admonished private universities operating from their temporary sites in the country to relocate to the permanent sites.
Speaking at the Redeemer’s University 6th Convocation Ceremony held on Thursday, 8th January, 2015, the NUC scribe commended the efforts of the institution for moving to its permanent site in Ede, Osun State.
He added that the development was a milestone achievement in the journey of the University to becoming a centre of excellence.
Prof. Okojie, represented by Prof. Adebisi Balogun, expressed the hope that the University would continue to tread along the path of academic excellence and nurture values for acceptance in its immediate environment and for national competitiveness.
He expressed gratitude to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch
Adejare Adeboye; Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees (BOT), and the Chairman of the Governing Council, for their unrelenting support and contributions to the infrastructural and academic development of the University.
In his remarks, the Visitor, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, noted that the 6th Convocation of the University was the first to take place on the permanent site in Ede, since the Institution got its license in January, 2005.
