Final Year Student Of Delta State Poly Ogwasht-uku Drowns In Well

A final year male student of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwasht-uku, at the weekend fell into a well and died while fleeing from armed robbers who were trying to rob him.
The Computer Science student, by name Victor Onyeka, was reported to have resumed for this year’s academic session only last week after spending last semester holiday with his parents in their community in Ndokwa West Council Area of the state.
According to an eyewitness account, Victor was said to have visited his course mate who lives in another house within the metropolis on the day of the incident.
He was said to have asked his friend to accompany him to his house around 8:00pm so that he could boil the soup he cooked in the morning of that day.
On their way, somewhere around the interior part of Agidiase quarters where most of the private hostels were located, a gang of robbers on a motorcycle accosted Victor, his friend and two other girls, whom they met on the way as they were going to the deceased house. They robbed the two girls and the deceased friend at gun point but the deceased escaped and ran into a building close to the area.
When Victor didn’t emerge from his hide-out after the robbery, his friends traced the him to the area he ran into only to discover he had fallen into the well.
Efforts to save him proved abortive as he drown inside the well.
May his soul Rest In Peace… Amen!
