Obasanjo Wants Universities To Reduce School Fees For Female Students

The former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has called on Nigerian universities to reduce the school fees for female students in order to achieve gender balance and equal development in the education sector of the country.
Obasanjo made the call while speaking at the maiden students’ matriculation ceremony of the Jigawa State University (JSU), Kafin-Hausa held last weekend.
He said for any society to develop, priority must be accorded to training and developing the talents of its human resources through the provision of accessible and qualitative education for all.
Chief Obasanjo, who was also appointed as the pioneer chancellor of the university, commended Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state for his passionate love and commitment to the development of education sector and selfless service to humanity.
