3 Students Charged To Court For Beating Their Teacher In Oshogbo

Three students of St. Mark’s Anglican Grammar School, Osogbo, Osun State have been charged to court for beating up their teacher because he gave them punishment.
The accused students, Haruna Waliu (19), Adebayo Abeeb (19) and Oladimeji Tunde (21), allegedly committed the crime on 24th October, 2014 which was contrary to and punishable under Section 517 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
They all pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy, assault and breach of public peace, levelled against them by the police.
The Chief Magistrate of Osogbo Magistrate Court, Mr. Muhammed Lasisi, who presided over the trial, granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum, advising parents to caution their children as he adjourned till February 9, 2015 for hearing.
