JAMB moves CBT exam due to Power Cut

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has rescheduled the Computer Based Test CBT in Lagos to May 31 by 11.00am due to power outage in the centres.
The May 26 scheduled exam was supposed to hold at the Digital Bridge Institute DBI in Lagos.
A JAMB official, Mr. Noble Onukwe said the reason for shifting the exam is to allow the candidates go home on time as the power issue was taking its toll.
He said most of the candidates are coming from far places and writing the CBT exam at night will not be conducive.
The Facility Manager at the centre, Mr Afam Aboh, said that the 250KVA generating set at the institute had broken down but another generator had since been provided to serve the institute.
The affected candidates lamented the decision saying that preparing for an examination and not writing it when you are supposed to is demoralising.
Olamide Olabisi, a candidate said she preferred the CBT system while she appealed to JAMB to make adequate arrangements for a good generating set to prevent a re-occurrence
